About the Role:

SoftLabs is seeking System Administrator for ICT Labour hire at their technology consulting based in Canberra.

Responsibilities:

• Installing and configuring software and networks
  
• Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
  
• Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
  
• Manage network servers and technology tools
  
• Set up accounts and workstations
  
• Troubleshoot issues and outages
  
• Ensure security through access controls backups and firewalls
  
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models
  
• Build an internal wiki with technical documentation manuals and IT policies
  

Essential Criteria:

Demonstrable experience in identifying the hardware and software system requirements for complex IT systems or Cyber Security systems.

Experience in ensuring that system designs suitably consider function service quality security maintenance and sustainability requirements.

Experience in integrating technology in an Enterprise Government or Multinational system focusing on automated data transfer or Cyber security.

Experience in support maintenance and enhancement of existing software ensuring application availability.

Experience in team leadership and proven skills in planning design implementation hardening and maintaining one or more of the following technology domains;

a. Linux Systems administration

b. Cloud Systems administration

c. Network and security administration

Experience in designing developing and delivering DevOps or SecOps environments including system tools for scripts and automation processes log analysis and metric reporting.

Desirable Criteria:

Experience in Cyber Security or a related domain would be highly regarded.

Experienced in developing and deploying software within a Linux / UNIX environment.

Experience in Linux and/or Windows administration is desirable.

Experience in the use of automation and deployment tools is desirable.

Demonstrable experience in the identification and analysis of systems security investigations or auditing and proven ability to work closely with related stakeholders to recommend and implement remediation actions.
