Health and Safety Coordinator HS - Rota

We are looking for a Health and Safety Coordinator (H&S to oversee the construction and design changes of the military hangar in Rota Naval Base.

Tasks

Responsible for implementation of H&S in line with Spanish Building Act 38/1999.

• Apply the general principles of prevention during the execution of the work
• Coordinate the activities actions and functions of contractors and subcontractors
• Approve the H&S Plan of the construction contractor and prepare the health and safety study if any
• Organize the application of article 24 of Law 31/95 of PRL (coordination of business activities)
• Adoption of access control measures

Coordinate the activities of the work to ensure that construction contractor and where appropriate subcontractors and selfemployed workers apply in a coherent and responsible manner the principles of preventive action contained in article 15 of the LPRL during the execution of the work in the tasks or activities referred to in Article 10 of this Royal Decree.

Approve the H&S Plan prepared by the contractor and where appropriate the modifications introduced in it.

Organize the coordination of business activities provided for in article 24 of the Law on the Prevention of Occupational Risks.

Adopt the necessary measures so that only authorized persons can access the work

Requirements

The individual practitioner shall have as a minimum requirement 600 hours of documented training in Occupational Risk Prevention (ORP) and shall have at least five (5) years of H&S professional experience to include a minimum of one similar or more complex project with a value of over 2 Million Euros

Candidate shall be fluent in Spanish and have good skills in writting and speaking in English.
