Duties and Responsibilities:

The MS SQL Developer must demonstrate knowledge and experience in developing conversion scripts from legacy systems, MS Access Databases, and MS Excel spreadsheets to a new MS/SQL Database. The ideal candidate for the role would be a logical, process-oriented person skilled in data conversion, data management, and well versed in Microsoft products. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop conversion scripts from a legacy Tax Relief system to a new MS/SQL Database
  
• Covert legacy data utilizing Excel Spreadsheets and Access Database data to the new MS/SQL database.
  
• Employ best practices for development, data integrity, and data security.
  
• Develop and maintain database ETL documentation.
  
• Monitor, troubleshoot and tune database performance to ensure efficient data processing and reporting.
  
• Work closely with the Data Management team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data integration issues.
  
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance data integration processes and increase efficiency.
  

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• Five (5) or more years of experience as an MS/SQL Developer.
  
• Five (5) or more years of experience in Data Conversion.
  
• Prior experience converting data from legacy systems. Experience with Tax Systems and Tax Data is a plus.
  
• Experience in converting data from an MS Access Databases to a more modern MS/SQL database.
  
• Utilizing MS Excel Spreadsheets as an input for data and data conversion.
  
• Understanding of T-SQL and SQL design principles (MS-SQ 2005/2008).
  
• Experience using a variety integration tools is preferred.
  
• .Net development experience preferred (C#, Asp.NET, MVC, etc.).
  
• Experience with MySQL and MS Access and other database formats is preferred.
  
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving data related issues.
  
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor s Degree Required, with a Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
  

Required Certifications:

• Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) preferred, but not required
