Domestic Couple Housekeeper and Groundsman/Caretaker

Experienced proactive and reliable Domestic Couple (Housekeeper & Groundsman/caretaker) sought for private estate in rural Devon. The ideal couple will have a strong background in private service and looking for a long term position.

Duties to include all housekeeping and grounds maintenance driving (for airport runs shopping and running errands) and looking after the 2 family dogs when required. This position requires a couple who are happy to work as part of a team to maintain the upkeep of the familys private residence and grounds.

Responsibilities:

Housekeeper:

• Perform thorough and regular cleaning of all areas within the residence including bedrooms bathrooms kitchen living spaces and any other assigned areas.
  
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness throughout the property.
  
• Take care of laundry ironing and other household chores as required.
  
• Ensure all supplies groceries and household items are stocked and organized.
  
• Coordinate with other staff members or contractors when needed. Food shopping and basic food preparation on occasions. (Chef employed)
  

Groundsman/Caretaker:

• Maintain the outdoor areas including the gardens lawns pathways and other landscaped areas (Head Gardener employed).
  
• Carry out general maintenance tasks such as mowing weeding.
  
• Basic general house maintenance as required.
  

Additional Responsibilities:

• Drive the employer and their guests as needed running errands and performing tasks outside the property.
  
• Take care of the employers dogs including feeding exercising grooming and any other necessary care.
  
• Maintain security measures and oversee the property when the employer is away.
  
• Coordinate with other staff members contractors or service providers.
  

Working 5 days per week (weekends worked on a rota basis) 45 hours

Salary: 70k 80k gross dependent on experience

Accommodation: Separate 2bedroom cottage pets welcome
