- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather and analyze software requirements for embedded systems in automotive applications.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand project goals customer needs and industry standards.
- Create detailed and clear software requirements specifications ensuring alignment with automotive standards and safety regulations.
- Translate highlevel system requirements into detailed software specifications for embedded systems.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation including software requirements design documents and test plans.
- Maintain traceability matrix to ensure all requirements are addressed in the development process.
- Effectively communicate technical requirements to software developers testers and other project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with system architects and quality assurance teams to ensure a holistic understanding of requirements.
- Participate in the verification and validation processes to ensure that the developed software meets specified requirements.
- Conduct reviews and inspections to validate software requirements.
- Identify and assess potential risks related to software requirements and propose mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with the team to implement risk management processes in accordance with automotive safety standards.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and best practices for requirements engineering.
- Stay abreast of industry trends advancements and emerging technologies related to automotive embedded systems.
Requirements
- University degree in electrical/electronic or computer science engineering.
- 3 years of proven experience as an Embedded Software Requirements Engineer in the automotive industry.
- Familiarity with automotive safety standards (ISO 26262) and relevant regulations.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems software development life cycle (SDLC) and proficiency in requirement management tools.
- Experience with AUTOSAR architecture is a plus.
- Familiarity with communication protocols used in automotive systems (CAN LIN Ethernet).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts in the automotive domain.

University degree in electrical/electronic or computer science engineering 2 years at least of experience in automotive embedded systems Very good knowledge of embedded C/C++ Very good practical experience of classic AUTOSAR solutions with Vector Davinci and/or Elektrobit Tresos toolchain Good experience with automotive flashing and bootloader technologies Experience with automotive networks CANFD, FR, ETH and Canoe tool Experience with automotive diagnostics protocols UDS and OBD Experience with calibration and XCP protocol Very good practical experience of automotive processes and standards e.g., V-cycle, ASPICE and safety ISO26262 Good knowledge of agile methodology and tools like scrum and Jira/Atlassian toolchain Knowhow of HSM and cyber-security SW solutions is a plus Knowhow of python or CI/CD is a plus Fluent business English is a must German is a plus
