Production Application Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Production Application Support Specialist to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Unix and SQL and experience working in a production application support environment. You will be responsible for providing technical support to our production applications resolving incidents and implementing changes. You will also be expected to work collaboratively with other teams to ensure the smooth operation of our production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for production applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents
• Implement changes to production applications
• Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure the smooth operation of the production environment
• Automate tasks to improve efficiency
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Stay uptodate on the latest technologies and best practices
• Provide training and mentorship to other team members

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent experience)
• 2 years of experience working in a production application support environment
• Strong understanding of Unix and SQL
• Experience with Autosys or other scheduling tools (a plus)
• Experience with Incident Management Problem Management or Change Management
• Knowledge of automation tools (highly desirable)
• Knowledge of cloud products (highly desirable)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Detailoriented and organized
