Planning Specialist

One of our esteemed clients in the maritime industry is currently seeking a Planning Specialist to be based in Dammam Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Job Overview:

As a Planning Specialist you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective planning and scheduling of shipbuilding and maritime projects. Your experience in planning scheduling and your deep understanding of the maritime industry will be instrumental in optimizing our project timelines and resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive project plans including work breakdown structures (WBS) and critical path analysis for shipbuilding and maritime projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to ensure accurate project planning.
• Create and manage project schedules considering resource availability and constraints.
• Optimize resource allocation and ensure the efficient use of manpower and materials.
• Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans.
• Monitor and mitigate project risks to ensure ontime and onbudget project delivery.
• Monitor project progress and performance against planned schedules.
• Prepare and update progress reports and communicate with project stakeholders.
• Evaluate and improve planning and scheduling processes to enhance project efficiency.
• Implement best practices and innovative planning tools.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including engineering procurement and production to ensure project plans align with overall objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Project Management or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Planning Specialist or in project planning within the shipbuilding or maritime industry.
• Proficiency in project management software and scheduling tools.
• Knowledge of shipbuilding processes and the maritime industry.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Saudi Nationals are given first preference.
