We are looking for a Senior Accountant Officer for an oilfield services company to be based in Kuwait.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant Officer to support its Accounting & Control daily activities by analyzing complex financial records and reports overseeing accounting operations and regulating and authenticating financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily routine accounting activities including accounts receivable accounts payable general ledger and financial closing and consolidation.
- Manage asset liability and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Summarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports including a profit and loss statement and other necessary reports.
- Support the creation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manuals for accounting policy and regulations and roll out reconciliation procedures.
- Maintain and balance accounts by verifying allocating posting and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain general ledger by transferring accounts preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries.
- Assist External Auditors by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Investigate and resolve audit findings account discrepancies and issues of noncompliance.
- Assist with completion of the quarterly and annual regulatory filings; preparation of assigned Quarterly and Annual Statutory Statement schedules.
- Prepare paperwork on cost reimbursements and other billings for processing. Develop and maintain supporting worksheets.
- Post the necessary journal entry in ERP prepare trial balance monthly follow up for statements and cheques collection.
- Give recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves assets and/or expenditures and provide interpretation of results as appropriate.
- Involved in the periodic Inventory and Asset count and assist in the reconciliations and submitting the variance report.
- Prepare the cost sheet for services and coordinate to get approval and implement.
- Follow all relevant departmental policies processes and procedures to carry out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a worldclass service.
- Assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree Accounting Finance or in a relevant field
- Professional Certification or Masters Degree is preferred
- Recommended 3 years of relevant experience and preferred in a similar position/responsibility and/or similar Industry
- Fluent in both English and Arabic (mandatory)
