SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Required:

• Strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational database/database design
• Experience writing programming code
• Experience providing production support
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Strong ability to troubleshoot production issues and provide risk assessments as well as provide lasting solutions to existing and new issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with business stakeholders and IT Product owners
• Can gather requirements
• Can work with limited to no supervision
• Can develop solutions that adhere to industry best practices
• Can Write and maintain development and user documentation
• Experience with enterprise off the shelf software productions
• Results oriented with a proven track record of execution

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, etc.
• Experience with REST API client development
• Experience or knowledge of programming in object-oriented languages such as Java, C++, C#.net or other
• Experience or knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)
• Previous experience in the Finance and/or Investment IT space
• Data Wearhouse experience preferred
• Agile/Scrum experience preferred
