We are actively seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to assume the position of Head of English at our prestigious school in Riyadh Saudi Arabia As the Head of English you will be a key leader within our academic community responsible for shaping and enhancing the English language curriculum fostering a culture of excellence and ensuring the highest standards of language education

Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Development and Enhancement
   • Lead the development review and enhancement of the English language curriculum ensuring alignment with international standards and best practices
   • Integrate innovative teaching methodologies technology and diverse resources to engage students and promote language proficiency
   • Collaborate with the English department to create a cohesive and progressive curriculum from elementary to high school levels
2. Pedagogical Leadership
   • Provide mentorship and guidance to English teachers fostering a collaborative and supportive professional culture
   • Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to enhance teaching practices
   • Stay abreast of current trends and advancements in English language teaching and incorporate them into professional development programs
3. Assessment and Accountability
   • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and inform instructional planning
   • Collaborate with the assessment team to design fair and rigorous examinations ensuring accurate evaluation of students language proficiency
   • Analyze assessment data to drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning outcomes
4. Professional Development
   • Design and deliver professional development workshops for English teachers to enhance their pedagogical skills and stay current with educational research
   • Encourage and support teachers in pursuing advanced degrees certifications and relevant training opportunities
5. Parent and Community Engagement
   • Establish and maintain open communication with parents providing regular updates on curriculum student progress and departmental initiatives
   • Organize and participate in parentteacher conferences workshops and events to foster a strong homeschool partnership
6. Extracurricular Activities
   • Coordinate and oversee English languagerelated extracurricular activities such as debate clubs literary events and language competitions
   • Provide guidance and support to students participating in languagerelated events on regional and national levels

Qualifications

• Masters degree in English English Education or a related field
• Teaching certification with a focus on English language education
• Minimum of years of successful teaching experience with a proven track record of leadership
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with international or British curriculum frameworks is advantageous
• Fluency in English is required knowledge of Arabic is an asset
