Searching for a Quality Engineer for product launches and the enhancement of the Quality Management System. The candidate will apply customer requirements, APQP/PPAP processes, and ISO 9001 QMS to advance product launches and foster continuous improvement at supplier sites. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, with a strong foundation in quality assurance processes and tools, combined with an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Experience in APQP processes, especially in product launches.
- Proficiency in ISO 9001: 2015 quality systems.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and overseeing supplier quality assurance systems.
- Solid background in continuous improvement using Six Sigma and/or Lean methodologies.
- Skilled in blueprint reading and grounded in GDT principles.
- Proven problem-solving expertise using Six Sigma and Lean principles.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience with quality measurement equipment in a production setting.
- Knowledge of foundry processes is desirable.
- Familiarity with CNC machining processes is advantageous.
- Acquaintance with CMM, laser scanning, x-ray, and LPI measurement systems.
- Certified Quality Engineer certification is a valuable asset.
Essential Duties:
- Product Launch Support: Guide product launch activities by incorporating quality principles, including APQP (PFMEA, Control Plans), PPAP, and safe launch processes.
- Customer Liaison: Act as the primary contact for quality-related issues within the company and across the supply chain.
- Supplier Quality Assurance: Spearhead efforts related to sustaining and enhancing Tier 2 supplier quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead and sustain initiatives centered around customer satisfaction and internal process refinement.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
