Electrical Engineer

Do you have knowledge and experience in electrical power and lighting systems?


In this role, the Electrical Engineer will perform electrical engineering design and layout of systems for projects such as commercial, industrial, correctional, and parks. Assist in the development of probable construction cost estimates for projects within the department and in the analysis of reports, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs to plan and design projects. You will prepare design computations and quantity estimates and design portions of non-routine projects or entire routine projects under the direction of the project manager. Other duties include preparing reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and permits for projects and providing technical support to other staff in their area of expertise. Perform drafting on a regular basis to reduce designs to final drawings. Understand the terminology and other concepts related to engineering and construction practices. You will also be responsible for job-specific quality system tasks as defined in the Project Management Manual and conduct periodic Site visits, review contractor submittals, and respond to contractor questions during construction.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

Professional Engineering licensure (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.

0-5 + years of experience needed, a recent graduate will be considered.

Knowledge/experience in electrical power distribution and lighting systems.

AutoCAD and Revit experience preferred.

Strong organization and communication skills, self-motivated and able to work alone or with a team with the ability to meet deadlines.
