Oracle Database Administrator

Randstad is partnering with a retail firm in Boston that is looking to hire a contract remote Oracle Database Administrator. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of Oracle database admin experience, including extensive knowledge of Oracle EBS.

Responsibilities:

-Install and maintain the performance of database servers

-Develop processes for optimizing database security

-Set and maintain database standards

-Manage database access

-Performance tuning of database systems

-Install, upgrade, patching, and manage database applications

-Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree
-10+ years of related work experience preferred

-Extensive knowledge and experience with DBMS (database management system) Oracle (required)
-Extensive knowledge and experience with Oracle application (Required - EBS; Preferred - MOM)
-Familiarity with network protocols, Internet, and Intranet design/usage Knowledge of database theory
-Knowledge of database design
-General understanding of distributed computing architectures, e.g. Client/Server, Internet/Intranet, Enterprise
-General understanding of the underlying operating system, e.g. Windows, Unix, Linux
-General understanding of storage technologies, memory management, disk arrays, NAS/SAN, networking
-General understanding of routine maintenance, recovery, and handling failover of a Database
