الوصف الوظيفي
Growing Manufacturing Company in New Bedford, MA has a need for a Production Manager. This is a direct hire opening with a full benefits package.
- Work with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
- Ensure all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
- Ensure output meets quality standards including product specifications
- Ensure output meets product quality, safety and industry standards for sanitation
- Ensure adequate scheduling of staff
- Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)
- Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.) needed to achieve goals and targets
- Work with Facilities Manager to coordinate maintenance work, purchasing of equipment, supplies, etc.
- Motivate, support and provide guidance to production staff
- Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
- Establish a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
- Set productivity goals for each manufacturing team
- Develop workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
Key Job Requirements:
- Deep knowledge of production management
- Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
- Outstanding communication ability
- Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
Education/Experience
- BS/BA in business administration or relevant field is preferred
- Experience with ISO22716, ISO9001, GMP or related standard a plus
