Sales Engineer : York
Salary: 30,000 - 32,000 + commission
MacArthur Recruitment are looking for an experienced Sales Engineer to work for a successful design, fabrication and engineering company who have a global customer base. You can work from home and on the road with visits to their office from time to time, in Carlisle. Responsible for new and existing customers, your geographical area will cover the North of England.

Summary of the role of Sales Engineer :
- Selling engineering products to a wide customer base in the North of England
- You will pick up existing customer quotes for follow up on joining
- Develop existing and new clients
- 3-4 days on the road; 1-2 days working from home
Key responsibilities for the role of Sales Engineer :
- Generate sales enquiries for quotations and work to agreed KPI s
- Manage your diary and generate appointments
- Apply knowledge and experience to sell the company products
- Produce monthly sales order forecasts
- Attend and input into monthly sales meetings
- Visit sites and prepare accurate site surveys
- Prepare accurate and detailed enquiries
- Work with colleagues in estimating and manufacturing areas
- Follow up quotations
- Updating reports, sheets and records regularly monthly, etc.
- CRM, MS Office, Excel, IT systems
- Effectively deal with any customer dissatisfaction, escalating any issues as required
- Produce annual sales forecasts and report any market intelligence
- Produce customer success stories for marketing activity.
Experience and skills required for the role of Sales Engineer :
- Background in solution sales of engineering or technical, physical products
- GCSE s at grade 9-4 or equivalent, including Maths and English.
- Microsoft suite, in particular, Microsoft Excel
- A strong communicator; both orally and in writing
- Friendly, personable, approachable and commercially aware and motivated
- Good time management skills
- Hard-working, reliable, positive and punctual
- Committed to providing excellent customer service
- Use initiative, work independently and as part of a team
- Driving licence is essential with regular travel to various customer sites
