HV Maintenance Fitter - SAP

Role Purpose: To carry out inspections and maintenance on Substation equipment on our Low Voltage, High Voltage and Extra High Voltage Network. This includes Electrical Switchgear, Transformers, Busbars, Isolators and Protection Systems.

• Plan outages without Control Management System
  
• Operating on the network as required
  
• Issuing safety documentation
  
• Oversee and ensure maintenance of equipment up to and including 33kV
  
• Carry out and report on inspections
  
• Maintain accurate reporting of substation equipment
  

Requirements

Core Competencies:

• Proficient in the use of Productivity and Collaboration Software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint etc. across multiple platforms such as smart phones, tablets, laptops etc.
  
• Excellent communication, including ability to adapt communication styles and outstanding listening skills with ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to use own initiative as well as work collaboratively as part of a team.
  
• Strong knowledge of ESQCR
  
• Confidence in planning works within budgets and timeframes
  

Experience and Qualifications:

• Full UK Driving Licence (maximum of 3 points)
  
• Experience as an Electrical Plant Fitter maintaining equipment up to and including 33kV
  
• Senior Authorised Person (SAP) at 11kV & 33kV essential
  
• Experience in oil handling and waste oil consignments
  
• Experience in planning work

• The role is based out of our Head Office in Swindon however with regular travel Nationwide and yes this will include over-night stays on occasions, however we will make this as cosy as possible and will provide a hotel and food as required.
  
• Permanent, full time position working 37.5 hours a week; exclusive of travel time.
