Summary
Aesthetic Record is looking for an exceptional public relations, marketing or communications student or recent graduate for a paid PR internship. You must be able to write in several different formats, including blog posts, TV ads, brochures, press releases, and social media posts. Senior creative staff will establish your project scope and set deadlines for each piece; managers will review your work and suggest edits before final publication.
The PR Intern will report to the Marketing Manager. The Marketing Department aims to transform the customer experience by translating our brand promise to customers via data-driven intelligence, impactful communication and smart design.
The internship is a paid, part-time position requiring a commitment of 25 to 30 hours per week during the 12-week program. Our team operates in a hybrid remote/in-person structure with three days per week in the office. There is some flexibility into which days/times will be required in order to meet both the needs of the company and intern s schedule. Ability to work on-site at our Irving, TX location is a must due to the collaboration and communication amongst team members. Upon completion of the internship, there is an opportunity to continue working in a part or full time role.
Key Responsibilities:
Under supervision and supported by training, the Public Relations Intern will be required to:
Create content for social media, media pitches, news releases, marketing materials, websites, videos, blogs and other communications across multiple brands, each with a distinct voice
Collaborate with senior creative staff to understand project guidelines, develop project strategy and action plans
Build media lists and manage media opportunities
Monitor and report on results across multiple distribution channels
Coordinate logistics for client and media events
Communicate with managers about edits before final publication
Coordinate the creation of eye-catching marketing materials (flyers, brochures, presentations, and digital assets)
Utilize AI tools to rapidly create and deploy content
Meet deadlines for content creation
Required Skills and Abilities:
Google workspace
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable working with people, taking direction, and contributing ideas
Ability to work in a fast pace environment, able to multitask and meet tight deadlines
Attention to detail, high level of integrity, individually responsible, and team oriented
Willingness to travel when needed
Comfortable with navigating social media
Preferred Skills & Abilities:
Experience writing content in the voice, tone, etc. of others
Familiarity with technical writing (user guides, help articles)
Experience with writing video scripts (teleprompter)
Education and Experience:
Open to undergraduate and graduate students interested in a career in Public Relations, or Marketing and Sales
