Position Description:
We are seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Organizationwithin our Technical Support team.
The technical support team is a multi-disciplinary organization with interface to technical,and in some cases business, support requirements for our Global Manufacturing AdminArea. Its function caters mainly to the technical needs across our Global Manufacturingoperating facilities.
Your primary role will be to handle instrumentation and metering engineering aspects.This will include designing, developing, installing, managing, and maintaining meteringsystems, across multiple facilities from the Downstream Headquarters. You will also beresponsible for providing technical support on high priority metering systems issues
Minimum Requirements:
- You must hold a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineeringor a related discipline.
- You should have a minimum of 12 years experience in refining /oil and gas plants/petrochemical industries.
- Proficient in the codes and standards in the oil and gas industry, i.e., API, BS, ISO,ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISA, IEEE, etc is essential.
- You should have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of meteringsystems.
- Familiarity with field instrument types and applications is a must.
- You should have working knowledge of oil/gas-related plant processes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
- Provide technical guidance, support, training, and expertise to plant departments.
- Monitor instrumentation and metering systems performance across all downstreamdepartments.
- Assess metering and Instrumentation performance and recommend improvementsfor system optimization.
- Develop and maintain lifecycle management activities for metering and
instrumentation systems.
- Establish auditing guidelines and perform frequent metering systems andinstruments audits.
- Lead the development of new strategies and validate the feasibility of improvingcompany productivity.
- Ensure manufacturing knowledge is captured in the knowledge repository andcontinuous improvement is delivered by benchmarking and best practices.
- Provide awareness sessions and lead technical exchanges and conferences.
- Maintain Instrumentation and metering system knowledge repository.
- Act as a subject matter expert in Instrumentation and metering systems andcontribute to the troubleshooting activities.
