SoftLabs is seeking Database Administrator Expert for ICT Labour hire at their technology consulting based in

Responsibilities:

• The Database Administrator Expert is responsible for installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting and performance tuning of Postgres, Db2 LUW, MongoDB, Oracle databases to assist the midrange databases team with daily operational They support upgrades, apply patches, migration activities and design, build, install and configure
  
• Troubleshoot routine product issues independently and continuously evaluate DB infrastructure components to ensure software currency and system Provide On call and after-hours support when
  

The Database Administrator Expert Key/Tasks Duties may include some or all the following:

• Provide expert advice to technical specialists and stakeholders and seek their cooperation in the provision of database administration
  
• Manage database software installations and upgrades to maintain currency with supported
  
• Administer the database configuration, security, scheme, and objects, ensuring compliance against agreed standards and
  
• Lead and authorise the implementation of access controls to secure databases from unauthorised
  
• Use manages the data management process including initial loading, creating, maintaining, and distributing data
  
• Investigate security breaches and database related incidents, analyse their impacts, and apply remedial
  
• Implement corrective actions to improve performance and availability of databases
  
• Plan operational backup, archival and recovery activities, and cyclical disaster recovery
  

Primary Technologies: Postgres Database and Ansible

Essential Criteria:

• Experience in one or more of the following monitoring tools such as: Dynatrace, Elastic (Kibana), IBM Data Server Manager, MongoDB Ops Manager,
  
• Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Perl,
  
• Experience in automating database processes using tools such as
  
• Experience in troubleshooting performance issues and providing advice on tuning Experience in the deployment of maintenance to database
  
• Experience with OpenShift
  
• Experience in working in large technical
  

Desirable Criteria:

• Must have a minimum of 5 Years experience in one or more of the following Database: Db2 LUW, PostgreSQL, MongoDB,
  
• Must have 5 years experience in support Databases on one or more of the following Operating Systems: Red Hat, Windows,
