Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Distribution Lead from a background in mining and manufacturing warehousing and transportation to join their team in

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing warehouse and distribution activities to ensure best practices in road and rail transportation are adhered to, resulting in lower cost, minimising risks and reducing lead
• Ensure adherence to company’s global shipping guidelines and supporting of regional Supply Chain
• Continuous improvement initiatives for safety and operational procedures, productivity and
• Ensure service delivery compliance in accordance with client
• Improving stock visibility and traceability, picking accuracy, losses avoidance, returns and service level
• Contract and relationship management for
• Implementation of management tools for reporting, analytics and dashboards to manage
• Budgeting and cost
• Identifying distribution team development and training needs and creating a positive environment through clear
• Management of Major Hazards Facilities (MHF) in line with regulations and control performance

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation or
• 10 years previous experience in warehousing, transportation and distribution within the mining and / or manufacturing sectors, with at least 5 years at a senior
• Experience defining and implementing product delivery plans for multiple continents with various modes of
• Well-versed in transportation, warehousing and international logistics
• Air, sea, road and rail freight and distribution
• Experience in lean practices, continuous improvement initiatives and ISO
• Strong vendor / supplier / carrier relationship management and negotiation
• Previous experience on SAP applications for transportation and
• Budgeting and cost control
• Willing to travel when
