Our client is seeking experienced mid-career Registered Nurses for roles in its public health facility located in northern Victoria.

Responsibilities

1. Nurses are responsible for assessing the health care needs of their patientsand developing care plans in conjunction with the patient and other members of the healthcare team .

• Implement these plans of care by providing direct patient care.
  
• Nurses are responsible for the health of patients.
  
• Evaluate and validate the effectiveness of nursing strategies to meet expected patient outcomes.
  
• Involve the patient and carers as well as themselves in the plan of care, and accept responsibility for their own actions.
  
• Coordinate effective discharge from hospital according to the needs of the patient.
  

• Respects role of other team members and work in a collaborative and collegial manner
  
• Collaborates with team members to attain patient outcomes.
  
• Contributes to interdisciplinary meetings and ward rounds to facilitate affected person care goals.
  

• Participates in professional development by identifying personal strengths and development needs

• Participate in team development activities
  

• Maintain understanding and knowledge of current clinical practice and research methods and standards
  
• Participate in identifying areas of improvement in nursing practices and patient care
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Current AHPRA Registration or ability to obtain same
  
• Relevant nursing qualification (3 year tertiary nursing qualification)
  
• Proven experience as a Registered Nurse
  
• Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
  
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
  
• A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skill
  
• Responsible and compassionate
  
• Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
  
• Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
