Technical Writer 3

Responsibilities:

Develops and maintains user and technical documentation and project process documentation for CMD Web Development Team.

Understands the user's view of applications and/or technology and can put procedures in a logical sequence.

Provides expertise on technical concepts of applications and /or user groups and structuring procedures in a logical sequence, due to a broad understanding of the applications.

Writes a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses.

May be responsible for coordinating the display of graphics and the production of the document.

Writes and reviews content that help users navigate, complete tasks, and understand web projects and initiatives.

Edits complex technical information into easy-to-understand language.

Collaborates with stakeholders and cross-functional teams while providing excellent customer service.

Establishes and enforces unified writing standards.

Manages digital assets and prepares documents and images for use on the web.

Creates and modifies basic HTML within a content management system.

Has an understanding of SEO and accessibility of best practices and demonstrates these on a day to day basis.

Other conditions:

Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud preferred.

Experience with website content management system(s) preferred.

Experience working with cross functional teams that include developers and project managers preferred.

Nice to have: Adobe Experience Manager experience, project management and/or collaboration software experience

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Literature, Computer Science or related discipline.

Minimum (Required) Skills/Experience:

8 Writing and editing website content

8 Understanding of SEO and accessibility best practices

8 Basic HTML

8 Excellent customer interaction and communication skills

8 Working knowledge of content management systems

8 Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

8 Performs a variety of complicated tasks utilizing independent judgment

8 Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

Preferred (Optional) Skills/Experience:

1 Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud

1 Experience working with cross functional teams that include developers and project managers

1 Adobe Experience Manager experience, project management and/or collaboration software experience
