Head of Corporate IT Network (m/f/d) - Vienna

located in Vienna/Austria. As a global player our client is expanding and driven by constant and sustainable growth in other markets all over the world.

Your role:

As the Head of Corporate IT Network team, you will have overall responsibility for one of the largest IT networks in Austria as well as Internet Access and DMZ Firewalls.

• In this position you will lead and develop the team of seven employees and are also responsible for your budget and process management
• You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the network systems and subsystems including support.
• You and your team design, implement and manage the network infrastructure including all components.
• Furthermore, you work strategically and expand the IT network based on current and future business requirements as well as technological developments in the long and medium term. You will work closely with IT Security and IT Service Engineering.
• Development and implementation of strategic and operational plans for the expansion and management of the IT network infrastructure
• Definition of service level agreements and partner management. Research and make recommendations on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development topics
• Manage and ensure the effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, antivirus solutions, and intrusion detection systems

Your track record:

• At least seven years of professional experience as a network engineer*, IT systems architect*, IT manager*, or service owner/manager with responsibility for a medium to large multi-site service-oriented enterprise network, including at least 2-3 years in a managerial role
• Excellent technical skills as well as proven leadership and people management skills
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a challenging environment and make sound decisions in critical situations
• Excellent knowledge of SOTA technical standards and best practices
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as servers, routers, bridges, switches, hubs, modems, network interface cards, etc. are a plus

Our client offers an attractive remuneration package/ gross annual salary for this position starting at appx. EUR 115.000, - based on fulltime; depending on experience and qualification salary can be negotiated. In addition a performance-related bonus payment and participation in stock options are part of the overall compensation program.
