Job Title: Devops Platform Engineer

Location: Greater St. Louis - Preference in office Clayton Hybrid 2 or days On-site! This person needs to be in the greater St. Louis, MO area but will have flexibility in working/scheduling. Salary or Hourly range: Pay Range: 90K to 110K Several roles Depending on experience DOE

Key Points of the role:

Devops Platform Engineer experience that enable IT teams to develop, deploy, and operate custom software solutions and infrastructure ideally working with automation tools.

o RHEL, Linux / Windows

o Ansible / Terraform / AzureRM template

o Azure DevOps / TFS

o C# / Go / Powershell / Bash

o DataDog / Elastic stack

o Kubernetes / Openshift

o MS SQL Server

o IIS

Managing application, Windows, and Linux host configuration via tooling

Developing log processing configuration to index a variety of application logs

Working with consumers to create and enhance CI/CD pipeline templates to create reusable build, test, and deployment automation for custom code and configurations

Managing, updating, and orchestrating platforms

Enabling observability of platforms, applications, and infrastructure by alerting on metrics and the development of dashboards

Sharing on-call duties for platform-related issues (week-long rotation, with ability to flex/trade with other team members)

Excellent troubleshooting skills

Knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a field requiring strong analytical and quantitative skills such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or Information Systems strongly preferred

The collaborative and forward-thinking Platform Engineering team maintains platforms that enable IT teams to develop, deploy, and operate custom software solutions and infrastructure.

The team strives to enable automated deployments via standards and best practices, and to develop templates, interfaces, and other tools that accelerate the development of new solutions.

A successful candidate will:

Embrace modern CI/CD2 practices (including automated testing)

Focus on solving problems, addressing bottlenecks, and eliminating manual work

Approach problems with self-service and automation in mind

Produce documentation for the Platform Engineering and external teams (Standards, Process Flow Diagrams, Implementation Guides)
