Designation: Network Architect

Location: Evansville, IN or Chicago, IL

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

At least 11 years of Information Technology experience.

Candidate must have ability to guide a team of Network engineers from an Architecture perspective.

At least 10 years of experience in the following areas:

o Datacenter Network

o Branch network

o Wireless

o Telepresence

o Voice - CUCM and UCCX environments

Clear understanding of industry standard IT infrastructure platforms, terminology, and leading providers, including Network, Telecommunications, Datacenter, Server & Storage.

Troubleshooting network security issues and perform Incident determination, alert identification and correlation, and resolution for in-scope environments on a 24x7x365 basis. Perform problem management and root cause analysis (RCA) for P1/P2 incident and major outages.

Manage and perform firmware/Software upgrades, ensure hardening and patches wherever required keeping the support level of the Network devices.

Support all aspects of Network administration Include hardware, software, VPN, AnyConnect and performance tuning, day-to-day operations of Network and Unified Communications.

LAN/WAN technical support - Wide Area Routing and Local Area Switching Architecture and troubleshooting.

Implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices including Routers, Switches, wireless Controllers and monitoring applications.

Work with various teams to get downtime to start cut-over process and create and perform the changes request attending Change advisory board meeting to get change approvals.

Work with ISP vendors and business partner vendors to resolve live critical network issues.

Support infrastructure that supports Internet access to public-facing and internal web applications, including proxies, tools and content filters.

Identifies emerging program risks and communicates to leadership with the mitigation plans.

Handling Network troubleshooting tickets to ensure stable operation of devices within SLA time breach.

Participated in "on call" technical discussion and provided network support for new releases.

Works on projects/ systems/issues of medium to high complexity surrounding network planning, configuration and optimization.

Analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects.

Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestones.

Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.

Establish and implement training processes and strategies for all technical personnel.

Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives.

Recruit and train exceptional employees to fulfill posted positions within the technical department.

Planning/organizing - able to prioritize activities and manage multiple tasks.

Quality control- demonstrates accuracy in configuration and documentation, with a desire for standardization.

Dependability- consistently at work and on time, ensures follow-up with customers.

Decommission EOL/EOS devices in Datacenter, which involved working with Partner Companies.

Maintain all documentation required for network security assessments, audits and internal control and control testing

Teamwork works well with co-workers, including cross-training on technology

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to Aruba.

Technical experience with SaaS, IaaS, PaaS.

Knowledge of latest Cloud Technologies.

Experience managing data center projects would be ideal.

Strong Vendor Relationship Management skills.

ITIL Global Process Experience preferred.

Familiarity with Service Now.
