Applications Developer II

Position Overview:
Programs computers. Develops, runs tests, and maintains current computer programs that provide instructions computers must follow to perform their function. Develops, designs, and tests logical structure for solving problems by computers. Writes programs according to specifications, which may be provided by Software Engineers, Systems Analysts, or other computer scientists. Updates, repairs, modifies, and expands existing computer programs.

The contractor would designed and implement over a 1 year period an application layer to interface between our compute platform and the clinical genomics storage platform.
The layer would manage and automate the retrieval of genomic sample information that we get from clinical testing labs, process it through a precision medicine pipeline and return output downstream to the Precision Medicine tumor board and back to the genomic storage planform

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
5 years of experience in java, HTML, SQL and any structured computer language such as C, Java, C#. 5 years of experience building reports utilizing SSRS and or Tableau
5-7 years of experience building large scale enterprise level software platforms in an Agile environment. Experience with relational databases, and nosql and object-relational mapping required. Experience with unit testing and continuous integration desired, but not a must. Experience with Scientific or Clinical Research software development is very highly desirable. Experience with Oracle Siebel Platform desirable. Experience with Scientific or Clinical Research software development is very highly desirable.

Must have worked in a software engineering or development role building enterprise scale applications and software systems.
Experience with unit testing and continuous integration desired, but not a must
Experience with Scientific or Clinical Research software development is very highly desirable
Experience with Laboratory information management system desirable
Experience with Flask, modern Anglar, and Python, Java, Springload.
Full Stack development experience preferable.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related Information Technology field of study with substantial experience will be considered. Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field of study preferred.
