Summary:
We are looking for someone who will Identify, research, and track breakout audio in YouTube's Shorts ecosystem regularly. Be an expert on the latest memes, hit songs, and emerging genres.
Responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth, data-based analysis to understand the specific ways viewers and short-form creators are interacting with specific songs and artists.
- Leverage findings to inform content programming strategies and support cross-functional teams who engage directly with creators, artists, and labels.
- Analyze daily trends and historical artist/track performance data to guide planning on promotional opportunities and activations for new releases.
- Provide real time insights about the intersection of short-form creation and music to cross-functional partners across Product, Music and Podcasts, Content Strategy, Content Partnerships, Marketing, PR, and Engineering.
- Deeply collaborate on programming strategies, ensuring the right tracks are highlighted for users.
- Use data signals and industry intel to surface, track, and inform the programming of emerging talent.
Skills/ Education/ Experience:
- BA or BS Degree (or 4 years relevant practical/work experience).
- Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically.
- 2+ years professional experience in a programming or editorial role for a mobile or online digital music business with deep local music industry knowledge.
