Experience with the following technologies/tools: - Citrix Studio, Director, tools available in Citrix Cloud) for the management and monitoring the DVS environment respectively
- User profile management will be done via Citrix UPM
MCS for non persistent Virtual machines - Good to have
- Citrix / VDI Certification
Knowledge on AD, Azure AD |
- Provide Level 2-3 support for all service-related areas, resolve incidents and requests for applications, integrations, etc.
- Responsible for following the Application Support Lifecycle by managing application availability, deployment, patching, capacity and upgrades
- Conduct problem management process (root cause analysis) attempt to determine the real or underlying cause of an incident in order to prevent future recurrences
- Participate in Service Management Processes such as incident, problem, change and IT asset management
- Interacts with and coordinates activities of cross-functional teams, including development, server operations, infrastructure engineering and solutions engineering
- Conduct application performance tuning, operational process development, training and configuration management for business and infrastructure applications
- Conduct daily checks and real-time system monitoring for the service
- Develop and document standard operating procedures and best practices in our technical repository. Identify gaps and proactively improve system inefficiencies
- Proactively manage, plan, and implement incident and outage reduction activities to prevent recurrence
- Engineer, document, implement and maintain core VDI image builds (OS, Security and Application Stack) for all VDI environments. Ensure core images include the current approved software versions and patches. Image and template updates
- Utilize VDI Management Tools to maintain and ensure compliance with VDI, software licensing, asset management, deployment, and management policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular (monthly) device patching including OS, 3rd party software, firmware, device drivers, and for critical security vulnerabilities for Virtual desktops
- Install approved Software using standard application packaging tools, and making packaged software available for deployment in the VDI environment
