Royal Oaks Residential Treatment Center is home based facility that treats children and adolescents struggling with severe mental, emotional or behavioral problems that inhibit normal functioning in a family setting. The purpose of the program is to help youths develop the coping methods, internal control and social skills they need to transition to a home environment.
General:
Ensuring the provision of planned but flexible program activities designed to meet the developmental needs of residents
Having a system in place to ensure an employee is available to handle emergencies
Assigning tasks to direct care specialist that do not conflict or interfere with direct care specialists responsibilities
Administering and managing the operation according to your policies
Ensuring that the operation complies with its applicable policies
Ensuring persons whose behavior or health status presents a danger to children are
Knowledge of State licensing codes, regulations, policies and procedures and guidelines for accreditation. Knowledge of supervision and management of General Residential Operations.
Knowledge of the effects of domestic/family violence on children and trauma informed care.
Skilled in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Outlook software.
Ability to effectively supervise and communicate, both orally and written.
Ability to analyze and resolve situations accurately and professionally and adopt a plan of action.
Ability to work independently, train and evaluate assigned staff performance.
Ability to maintain professionalism while establishing and developing relationships.
Duties:
The Licensed Child Care Administrator is responsible for the operation of the facility and ensuring quality care, services and advocacy for our residents/children
Implements programs and services as specified in the childrens individualized service plan
Completes accurately all reports, data collection and other information documenting the care and services provided in keeping with licensing regulations and Agency policies
Have daily supervision and on-site administrative responsibility for the overall operation
Oversee daily operations
MUST HAVE A VALID ADMINISTRATORS LICENSE IN THE STATE OF TEXAS ( NO EXCEPTIONS)
Make sure facility is in compliance with government rules and regulations
Supervise staff
Staff scheduling
Administer prescribed medication and first aide to residents as required
Keep a daily log of all medications administered to resident in medicine log and resident folder
Document all incidents, violations or write ups on staff and residents
Assist Direct Care Specialist with cooking, cleaning, washing and personal care of residents
Respond to all correspondences in a timely manner
Work closely with Case Managers, Therapist, Doctors, Schools, Counselors
Qualifications
Bachelor's (Required)
Have 2 years of child care experience (Preferred)
Day Shift (Preferred)
Able to work on some State and Federal Holiday
Must pass a criminal background check
Must pass a drug screening
Must have a valid state issued drivers license
