We are looking for an experienced professional to handle our small but mighty Data Systems, who have the mission to build the capabilities to ingest, store, process, govern, and action on data at scale.

Your tasks

• The Tech and Innovations division is the heart of our international group of companies. You support us in the evaluation, analysis and interpretation of our data. Together with you we would like to further expand our data warehouse and take further steps towards "Data Driven Decision Making" and "Strategic Business Planning".
• You are responsible for the care, maintenance, and development of our internationally used business intelligence tools and data warehouse. You will also design and create self-service tools (e.g. dashboards) to help departments be data-led.
• You will implement relational and multidimensional data models and be responsible for the design and implementation of ETL processes.
• Proactively investigate the causes of data drift and identify optimization opportunities. Make sure our numbers are bullet proof by further expanding and optimizing our quality controls and processes.
• You integrate our international locations into our business intelligence tool and develop our data warehouse infrastructure.

Your profile

• You have successfully completed your studies in the field of data, computer science, mathematics or engineering and have several years of professional experience in the field of data engineering / business intelligence.
• You are enthusiastic about data and building efficient structures in the field of business intelligence and data warehousing, have experience in data management and database design of BI systems and have knowledge of Java, Python, or other high-level programming languages.
• You are looking for a job that offers new challenges and does not become monotonous even after years. You also have strong analytical skills and work independently and in a solution-oriented manner.
• You love working in cross-functional teams, are up to date with the new trends in data infrastructure and enjoy exploring new data sources.
• You also have very good knowledge of SQL, multidimensional data modeling and databases. Experience in handling ETL tools is required. Knowledge of Talend Open Studio or dbt is a big plus.
• You speak good English and good German so that you can interact with all colleagues and international interfaces without any problems. We offer both German and English courses in the company.
• Last but not least, you bring a passion for barbecuing with you so that you can have a lot of fun at the annual IT BBQ.
