UX/ UI Designer (Berlin)

Clay is the first mental health training club. As the "Freeletics for Mental Health" we offer personalized training plans and a community for your mental matters, presented by real psychologists.

We are a fast growing venture-backed startup founded on the belief that there should be a modern & digital approach to reaching mental health goals, one that encourages to openly talk about mental illness. One that removes the stigma of mental illness and is focused on preventive care.

Our mobile first and video-led product combines the latest science, best tech and a unique user experience.

Tasks

In this role, you will

• Set the foundation for clay's Design team
• Oversee user interface and user experience principles, a collaborative design process, and the design system at clay.
• Design features from ideation to implementation, and clearly communicate your thought process and ideas to the Product and Engineering teams.
• Partner directly with the co-founders and clay's Product team to develop our user experience and user interface. You'll own the responsibility of bringing it to life.
• Strive for the most responsive mobile experience that makes it easy for new users to complete our content sessions and engage with our community.
• Build a sophisticated and multi-featured product experience.
• Stay up to date with the latest design practices and technologies.

Requirements

• You have 2+ years of experience in mobile UI and UX Design.
• You are confident in your design decisions and love an open, iterative design process.
• You are an experienced designer who is extremely comfortable working with product managers and engineers to create and ship products.
• You are passionate about designing best-in-class user experiences and have experience designing consumer mobile apps.
• You are a mental health enthusiast who wants to deeply understand psychological concepts and translate them to a digital product.
• You are an ethical designer who considers the impact of their work on the world, and wants to push themselves to create more inclusive, empathetic, and responsible digital experiences.
• You work with modern design tools and workflow software (We work in Figma and Jira)
• You have a hands-on mentality.
• You are a team player with a positive attitude.
