Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/d) - Remote

Your responsibility and tasks

• You participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• You create connections for frontend and backend using RESTful APIs from conception to deployment.
• You develop and manage effective databases and applications.
• You design the client-side and server-side architecture.
• You stay up to date with the latest technologies.

Your profile

• You hold a university degree in computer science, engineering or a similar field.
• You have 5+ years of hands-on experience as a backend engineer in fast paced, agile environments.
• Your working style is characterized by in-depth understanding of the entire development process for backend.
• You have a great knowledge of browser testing, debugging and creating RESTful APIs.
• You have an excellent knowledge of web and backend technologies (e.g. Node.js, ExpressJS, vue.js, SQL + NoSQL Databases)
• You have very good experience with Javascript/Typescript, and with webservices (REST/SOAP).
• You have experience with tools like GIT, Jira, Bitbucket.
• Your experience in Progress OpenEdge and ABL is a plus.
• You have very good experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
• You speak and write fluent English. German language skills are a plus.
