The Role :
At Greater than Education Technologies we develop an ecosystem of edTech projects to
dominate the personal growth market in the education sector. Being one of our talented
Backend developers, youll have an opportunity to learn and grow and be a key part of creating
and deploying micro-services.
Engineering Culture:
- We run functional teams based on the SCRUM methods and are a fairly Agile environment, with 2-week sprints and teams with a minimum of 3 developers (preferably 4) plus a Platform Owner.
- Sprints cannot be interrupted and work is planned out well in advance to keep stress down to a minimum.
- Line-by-line code reviews for every pull request on Gitlab, maintains code quality, and keeps everyone in the loop & learning.
Requirements
Skill Requirements:
Requirements Hands-on experience with Java Or NodeJs or Python is preferred.
Hands-on experience on ExpressJs/ Django / SpringBoot is preferred.
Knowledge of designing and implementing backend services and REST APIs
Experience with RDBMS or Document Modeling like Postgres or MongoDB
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Comfortable and willing to learn as you go.
Professional Competencies (Not Technical):
Strong Ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders in the Product/Business/Support/Ops teams
Ability to make data-based scalable solutions & Be Detail Oriented
Ability to perform under pressure and stringent deadlines
Adaptable and flexible to work hours
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Cross-functional experience and managing interactions with various teams
Bringing the latest technologies into practice
Publishing notable research docs on behalf of the organization.
