Lab Technician

1. Performs a variety of technical laboratory duties, performs routine and delegated duties according to departmental policies, provide laboratory services according to national/MOH & WHO standards.

2. To undertake professional duties under direction of the line manager

3. To support the clinical management of the patients in RCRC hospital and IMC clinics in the camp when required and as per as requested by attending physicians.

4. To take, register, process and analyze blood and body fluids samples as per requested and in line with the policy of the hospital management.

5. Refer samples to external laboratory to be analyzed as per the agreed upon by the line manager and hospital management (clinical samples, quality control/reference laboratory etc.)

6. Keep regular stock of blood units/packed red cells in the hospital blood bank; on request organize the procurement of blood units according to the needs
