Structural Engineer

Carrying out structural design with minimum supervision on wide range of building types using variety of systems and materials.

Providing technical support on any technical / design issues as they arise including construction supervision back-up.

Providing design review of all work performed by team members including Contractor s submittals.

Overseeing and providing coordination support with other disciplines.

Ensuring works are completed within program.

Providing technical support and guidance for junior structural engineers and BIM technicians.

Having a strong understanding of building structures, their stability and load transfer systems and be able to analyze them according to complexity.

Initiating independently viable concept and preliminary designs for various types of buildings using conventional, post-tensioned, pre-cast concrete, structural steel and foundations

Having strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Demonstrating strong communication, organizational, time management and business writing skills.

Requirements

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include a minimum of 5 years post graduation work experience partnered with a Bachelor or Masters degree in Structural or Civil Engineering . Working knowledge in the use of at least 3 of the following structural design packages - ETABS, SAFE, SAP , STAAD or RAMCONCEPT.

Knowledgeable in concrete and steel structures design. Experience in Post Tension design is an advantage; with hands on knowledge in the use of American Design codes.

Previous experience working on a wide variety of projects in the Arabian Gulf/GCC region
