This is a remote position.
Principle Accountabilities
- Has the potential to develop up to a Cost Estimator/Engineer position for large projects.
- Review of proposed Star Rates on description and validation.
- Providing all type of measurements or valuations of Direct costs in Cost Estimates at all phases in the ORP development process.
- Single focal point responsible for all Quantity Surveying issues at Interior.
- Final account preparation
Requirements
Qualification
- Degree/Diploma in Technical Engineering in Mechanical discipline or QS
- Preferably certified as Quantity Surveyor with the minimum assessment as Chartered Surveyor
Experience
- Minimum 6 years experience in Quantity Surveying in a major Construction environment.
- Minimum 3 years experience with activity or work sampling techniques and relevant statistic methods.
- Minimum 3 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Preferable familiar with Company or Shell standards and guidelines
Specific Skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Shall be able to continuously interact with Company Construction and QS teams.
- Both accuracy and consistency are good personal requirements.
- Be able to challenge Cost Estimates prepared by others and Third Party.
- Good spoken/written English and adept in conducting formal meetings.
