Job Description:

• The Labeling Specialist I supports Carlsbad Labeling by completing labeling projects which involve implementing content updates, creating new labels and templates, and resolving label-related issues through root cause investigation.

A day in the Life:

• Complete routine labeling projects through direct involvement and some coordination of tasks across Label Specialists

• Provide direct support for ongoing updates, including hazard communication, regulatory compliance projects, and other specialized projects

• Create new and optimize existing documents in labeling, including but not limited to label templates, label graphics, and databases, as needed

• Follow document change control process and coordinate the initiation, approval, and completion of Change Orders, Change Requests, etc.

Keys to Success:

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biology, Bioengineering, or related subject area (preferred)

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in creating documents, product labeling, or electronic batch records (preferred)

• 1+ years working in ISO9001, regulated manufacturing environment, or other globally regulated capacity (preferred)

• Proficient with software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases (especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access)

• Some experience with label design software (e.g. BarTender, Prisym, etc) (preferred)

• Experience with change control and working with controlled documents

• Proven understanding of manufacturing and quality systems (i.e. ERP systems, inventory control, BOMs/Routings, electronic documentation management systems, quality management software, good documentation practices)

• Experience in a manufacturing-related role
