The Data Engineer (f/m/d) is a software engineering role:

Your focus will be on writing efficient data pipelines and easy-to-use data services for Kaufland e-commerce s internal data users

Your tasks this is what awaits you in detail

• You join our Data Engineering team and work alongside our data infrastructure engineers and product manager.
• You implement and maintain data pipelines and data services for Kaufland e-commerce s internal data users.
• You work with structured and unstructured data, with a focus on data timeliness and data integrity.
• You use technologies like Google BigQuery, Kafka, and Kubernetes, as well as Navarch, our in-house task scheduler.

Your profile this is what we expect from you

• You have a proven track record of implementing and maintaining data pipelines and data services.

• You have experience in using at least two of the following technologies:

  • Container Orchestration, ideally Kubernetes
  • Message brokers, ideally Apache Kafka
  • SQL and data warehouses, ideally Google BigQuery
  • Task schedulers, like Apache Airflow

• You have worked with Public Cloud Providers, ideally Google Cloud Platform

• You have professional experience with Python or Go

• You have a strong interest in working in an agile, mostly remote environment

• You have excellent communication skills, are willing to embrace our company culture and values and enjoy working in an international, English-speaking team
