ICE is an international school where the curriculum is taught in two languages, with teachers delivering instruction in one native language and a second teacher in the other native language: French and English. English is taught as a subject and holds a key value as the bilingual constituents of the school’s programme. All teachers are to be aware of the French and English languages co-existence in the school’s and students’ daily life and culture.
Qualifications:
– Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Language, or related field.
– Teaching Certificate (Certificat d’Aptitude au Professorat de l’Enseignement), PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate of Education), Master of Education, or equivalent certification.
These qualifications should demonstrate a combination of pedagogical training, content knowledge, teaching experience, and ongoing professional development, with a focus on English language and literature education at the secondary school level, aligned with the requirements and principles of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
Experience:
– Teaching experience required (High School) minumun 5 years
– Experience in a French school abroad strongly desired.
– Knowledge of the French educational system and International Baccalaureate programs required.
