Al-Tuhoo General Trading & Contracting Co. was started by 2 brothers in Kuwait in the early 1950s as suppliers for foodstuffs, mainly in the areas of canned food and beverages. The company was originally registered with the Ministry of Commerce in 1956. After doing successful business, it was time to expand and since the business was already dealing throughout the gulf, they had enough resources to take it one step further. The two brothers then tasked themselves on bringing tea from abroad to the country for the first time and were one of the first companies to ever import tea to Kuwait.
