Job Description
Encouraging swimmers to do the best possible training and competing is an important aspect to the swim coach's job. A swim coach must pay attention to swimming details, such as bad positioning, and continuously work with a student in order to perfect the technique. Patience is key when getting a swimmer motivated to develop winning skills, and a coach needs an empathetic yet uplifting approach to inspire swimmers to push themselves further in training. In addition, a coach needs a loud yet encouraging voice that can heard above water while the student is swimming. Also, a swim coach must be prepared to deal with adverse weather conditions and his students practice sun screen protection.
