Facilities Manager

Roles and responsibilities

Lead the team in providing expert support and operational safety advice across Ma'aden.
Oversee operational incident investigations, particularly Class 1, and assist with Class 2 and 3 high-potential incidents.
Develop and enhance policies and standards for utilizing fault tree analysis and other root cause analysis (RCA) tools.
Formulate, improve, and evaluate the effectiveness of Ma'aden's operational safety audit and assurance policies, standards, and procedures. Provide clear guidance on all related requirements.
Lead the FM Safety Team in creating audit protocols, conducting safety audits, and preparing detailed audit reports.
Develop and refine operational safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
Plan, implement, and assess the effectiveness of health and wellbeing initiatives focused on operational safety.
Provide expert guidance on risk assessment procedures, management of change, and EHSS controls relevant to operational safety.
Lead the team in crafting and disseminating communications related to operational safety, including incident briefings and updates through various channels, in alignment with Ma'aden’s policies.
Manage and develop assigned staff and consultants through coaching, mentoring, and setting performance expectations.
Translate strategic operational safety programs into actionable communication strategies across multiple stakeholders.
Identify and engage key Corporate EHSS stakeholders relevant to operational safety.
Facility Maintenance and Operations:
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all building systems, including HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), electrical, plumbing, elevators, and lighting.
Coordinate preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
Ensure that facilities meet all regulatory requirements for health, safety, and accessibility.
Respond to and resolve any emergency maintenance issues or facility breakdowns in a timely manner.

Desired candidate profile

Bachelor’s degree in engineering

Minimum Experience

• Experience - 15 Years' of related experience with at least 5 years in leading EHSS Support and Audits and Assurance functions.
• Experience with leading organizations in KSA is preferred.

  Manage space utilization and optimize office layouts to meet the needs of employees and departments.

  Handle the allocation and management of workspaces, meeting rooms, and common areas.
  Health, Safety, and Compliance:
  Ensure that the facility complies with all safety regulations, including fire safety codes, building codes, and environmental laws.
  Develop and implement safety protocols, including emergency evacuation plans, fire drills, and first aid procedures.
  Oversee environmental and sustainability efforts, such as waste management, energy efficiency, and green building certifications (e.g., LEED).
  Ensure regular safety inspections are conducted, and address any hazards or violations.
