Job Description
Summary:
Amtrak seeks a highly skilled Technical Architect to join their clients team in Washington DC in a hybrid work environment requiring occasional onsite presence. The role involves defining technical documentation troubleshooting software and hardware and collaborating with vendors to deliver robust solutions. Proficiency in Agile methodologies technical tools such as Jira and Confluence and strong communication skills are critical to success in this role.

Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain business process maps requirements use cases user stories and technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues for the OnBoard Information System.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure reliable solutions and address deficiencies.
- Present project updates confidently to teams and stakeholders using strong communication skills.
- Apply Agile methodologies such as SCRUM or SAFe to improve project outcomes.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems Systems Engineering or related field OR 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency with tools like Jira Confluence BitBucket and ServiceNow.
- Experience creating technical documentation and project lifecycle management artifacts.
- Strong knowledge of backend systems computer platforms and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications for project management and reporting.
