Job Description
Job Title: Laboratory Supervisor
Location: Jasper TN
Shift: 12Hour Days 3 Shifts Per Week (36 Hours)
Shift Times: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
Hourly Rate: $29.30 $43.94 per hour
Schedule: FullTime Days No Weekends
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our laboratory. The Laboratory Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all lab tests are performed accurately and efficiently in compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and the ability to manage laboratory staff equipment and procedures. This fulltime role offers day shifts with no weekend work providing a great worklife balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daytoday operations of the laboratory to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic testing
- Oversee the performance and development of laboratory staff providing training and mentorship as needed
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations including maintaining current licensure and certifications
- Perform quality control measures and ensure that lab equipment is maintained and calibrated properly
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely reporting of lab results for patient care
- Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to maintain high standards of operation
- Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and ensure timely ordering of necessary materials
- Utilize computer systems to generate reports and manage data related to laboratory performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or a related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Technologist
- Current State of Tennessee Medical Laboratory Supervisor General License required
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage staff and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Proficient in using laboratory information systems and other relevant computer programs
