Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the dining room including managing the waitstaff assigning tables and ensuring smooth service throughout meal times
Train supervise and evaluate the performance of the waitstaff to maintain high standards of service and professionalism
Monitor and maintain the inventory of dining room supplies including china glassware and silverware
Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders
Interact with guests to ensure a positive dining experience and handle any guest concerns or complaints in a professional and efficient manner
Collaborate with other departments such as the bar and entertainment teams to ensure a seamless guest experience
Assist in creating and implementing menus and special dining events to enhance the guest experience
Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe dining environment
Oversee the billing process and ensure accurate and timely delivery of guest checks
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling payroll and budget management to ensure efficient operations of the dining room
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maitred in a highvolume restaurant or cruise ship setting
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Strong organizational and timemanagement abilities
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Extensive knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and etiquette
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and restaurant management software
Fluent in English both written and verbal
Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
Must pass a preemployment medical examination and background check
