Keep uniform in good condition clean presentable and ensures standards of personal appearance and hygiene provide an example for the team and present a professional image to our guests.
Store luggage for the guests in the luggage room.
Ensure precise counting of group luggage upon arrival and departure.
To ensure the timely and efficient transfer of luggage to and from the guests room
Plan correct and fast distribution of luggage for groups and crews on the basis of rooming lists provided by front desk.
Maintain tidiness of the front of the house and luggage storage room.
Is responsible for receiving distributing sending and holding mail and messages.
Provide room orientation when escorting checked in guests
Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
Qualifications :
For foreigners only those currently living in Japan will be entertained
Previous customer related experience an asset
Excellent oral & written communication and interpersonal skills; Spoken English and Japanese is mandatory and additional languages (Chinese) an asset.
Exceptional time management and multitasking skills.
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 kg
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
This is a 24/7 operation and all personnel are expected to adjust work hours to the needs of the business. Some position will include late nights weekend and holiday work.
Position requires continuous standing and walking throughout the shift. Strong knowledge of computer systems required OPERA (or similar) and additional languages are an asset.
