Job Description
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides nursing services treatments and diagnostic and preventive procedures appropriate for inmate care and safety including: interpreting physicians orders administering medication assisting with sick calls applying dressings providing first aid recording vital signs instructing inmates on discharge planning observing and reporting inmates conditions instructing and supervising correctional staff consulting with supervisors managing supplies maintaining medical records and providing health education to inmates. Requirements
Required skills and experience: Graduation from a Licensed Vocational Nurse Program and current license/permit as a vocational nurse in the State of Texas 1 year of Med/Surg LTAC experience. Current BLSHP required Must be IV Therapy Certified
Additional information: Day Shift
4:45am 5:15pm (0)
Night Shift 4:45pm 5:15am () 4:3 rotating schedule Must have the flexibility to conduct various duties and assignments
