Job Description

JOB Overview

Dahl Memorial Healthcare a 25bed critical access hospital seeks a dedicated Radiology Tech/CT Tech to join our compassionate healthcare team. This position will be responsible for carrying out orders for xray and CT.

EDUCATION:

  • Associates degree or higher in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required. Montana state license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist (or eligible for license).
  • CERTIFICATION: ARRT (CT) certification is preferred or must be obtained within a specific time frame.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 12 years of experience in a radiology department is preferred. Experience working in a rural or critical access hospital environment is a plus.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

  • Proficient in operating radiologic and CT equipment.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety procedures and standards.
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with remote technologists.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform radiologic examinations in line with physicians orders ensuring images are of high diagnostic quality.
  • Implement and follow safety protocols including radiation protection practices for patients self and staff.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with imaging equipment when necessary.
  • Adhere to the hospitals policies and procedures including compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and ensuring that all imagingrelated documentation is properly recorded and filed.
