Job Description
Configuration Management activities revolve around product evolution all along the product lifecycle from initial design to inservice life. Interfacing with all involved stakeholders of the design development industrialization and inservice operational support of the product (program design offices manufacturing support...) to manage the technical definition of the product and all modifications. Ensuring application of the processes that secure conformity of the product to applicable requirements all along its lifecycle.
Main tasks:
- Participate in the redaction of an update of the configuration management plan
- Create and manage configuration articles in PLM tools
- Drive feasibility studies and coordinate impacted teams to build the modification dossiers
- Prepare and host technical meetings and decision meetings
- Monitor the progress of the stakeholders’ action items and in general of the modification dossiers from their initialization to implementation and industrialization
- Ensure quality and completeness of the technical and configuration information of the dossiers
- Prepare and monitor planning according based on manufacturing and certification constraints
- Crosscheck the work and be responsible for the quality of the deliverables produced and upload it in the dedicated tools and databases to make sure it is taken into account by the impacted teams
- Setup and analyze indicators to monitor the quality and progress of the modification dossiers
- Manage and validate customer configurations based on specific/catalogue requirements
- Coordination of the technical solutions definition with design offices associated documentation and reporting all along the lifecycle until the dossiers closure
- Present the dossiers in decision committees to validate (or not) the launching of the modifications
- Analyse and manage configuration gaps
- Management of logistics and spares with the supply chain
- Attest “AsBuilt" configuration is conform to requirements.
