We are seeking an experienced and skilled PET/CT Technologist to join our team in Greenbrae CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating PET/CT scanners to perform highquality imaging procedures ensuring accurate diagnostics for oncological neurological and cardiac conditions. The PET/CT Technologist will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers to deliver excellent care to patients in a fastpaced environment.
Duties- Perform PET/CT imaging procedures for patients ensuring highquality images for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast agents adhering to safety protocols and maintaining patient safety.
- Ensure proper positioning of patients and accurate scanning to obtain the necessary diagnostic images.
- Analyze and evaluate PET/CT images for quality identifying any artifacts or abnormalities that may impact diagnosis.
- Provide patients with clear instructions preparing them for the imaging procedures and ensuring their comfort throughout.
- Collaborate with physicians radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret results and provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records including imaging results and medical histories.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and quality control standards in imaging procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot PET/CT equipment ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
- Stay uptodate with advances in PET/CT technology and imaging techniques.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PET/CT Technologist or related imaging role.
- Experience in performing PET/CT scans for oncology neurology and cardiology.
- Familiarity with PET/CT equipment radiopharmaceuticals and contrast agents.
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and patient care procedures.
- Experience with PACS systems and electronic health records (EHRs).
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology Nuclear Medicine or related field.
- Certification as a PET/CT Technologist (ARRT or equivalent).
- Active state licensure in the applicable state if required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce highquality diagnostic images.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams.
